All six-year-old Angel wanted was a reason to smile.Until recently, he had no reason to. Life for him, his mother and four siblings had been hard since his father abandoned them. Their ramshackle home barely provided them with meager shelter from the elements. They also barely had enough food to feed everyone. Unable to walk, Angel had a wheelchair to help him get around, but it was old and falling apart. He would likely outgrow it before his family could scrape together enough money to buy him a new one.
Now Angel and his family can't seem to stop smiling in gratitude whenever members of the Starfish Difference pay them a visit.Starfish Difference is a small, non-profit, non-denominational service group with about ten active members and a growing network of friends. More.
