Eastwood, The Palace & POMCO

It’s been a long time since I thought about S&H Green Stamps, but a recent birthday party I attended The Palace Theatre in Eastwood brought back many childhood memories.

It was the 60’s and customers, like my mother religiously collected stamps at the ACME checkout in Shop City. I had great “fun” of licking the stamps and placing them collector books. Once, my mother gave me several of these books and told me I could use them to redeem something from the local Green Stamp store.

So what item did a select? A set of TV trays.

Glancing out the 2^nd story window, I was able to take in the new beauty of the POMCO renovation, as it blended into the old Eastwood persona.

The whole experience left me smiling.
